Michael Philippi, Lighting Designer, Passes Away
The lighting design world lost one of its own yesterday with the untimely death of Chicago-based LD Michael Philippi. His obit in the Chicago Tribune, mentions that he “collapsed and died Tuesday afternoon on a sidewalk in downtown Chicago.”
As Gregg Hilmar noted on the Stagecraft Mailing List about Michael: “I lost a dear friend today… The theatre world is a little darker, the whole world a little sadder…”
