Amanda Clegg Lyon, Guest Blogger, Broadway Lighting Master Class
The experiences here during the class sessions have been varied, but all have been a great educational experience. So far Don Holder’s class on cyc lighting and Brian MacDevitt’s art and research class have been my favorites. Don’s class presented some really simple but brilliant ways to accomplish really beautiful cycs. It was great to see Brian go into more depth with research techniques that we use in school. It’s always great to see academic exercise turned into real life practice. Getting to see a Broadway show was just an added bonus. It’s been a really great learning experience.
