The Industry Wedding of Our Time
So, I have been remiss in reporting about an event that occurred the day following LDI, but I have good reason. I had no photos, and that’s only because I had the distinct honor of being them maid of honor at the wedding of Swedish production manager Ola Melzig and PR pro Joan Lyman (now Lyman Melzig).
The Monday just after LDI (October 27), lighting designers, manufacturers, family, and friends from the industry gathered at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas to attend the grand event. Guests included LDs from around the world–if I recall correctly, Sweden, Finland, US, UK, South Africa, were all represented–as well as folks from Wirlsess Solution Sweden (Niclas Arvidsson was the Best Man), Barco (Abbe Westerlundh was the toast master), Epic Production Technologies, Green Hippo, TMB, High End Systems (Bill Morris presided over the ceremony), Element Labs, Avolites, Pharos, MA Lighting, Cast Software, Wybron, Sycrolite, and many more.
