First of all, this was an amazing group this year at the BLMC, standing room only at lunch. I’ve never seen the lunch room so crowded, but even during my session, everyone was so attentive and excited to be here that, as a teacher, it energized me.

In this situation, you always want to feel useful, like whatever you said is being retained, and that people are adapting it to their own experiences. But at the same time, the students and attendees are giving you inspiration back. I really feel that way here. There was a lot of energy and interest in this group.

Hello from the BMC I just want to let all you theatre people out there know that the BMC is a once and a lifetime opportunity to learn from the best of the best. The people I have met and the things I have learned will indeed help me in furthering my career in the theatre world. Things are always changing in the world and attending the BMC allows you to stay current with everything in the theatre world.

To all you manufacturers that aren’t here, you don’t know what your missing. BLMC was so organized, it was great. I was able to meet great designers now and the next great designers of the future. BLMC / Live Design were wonderful and so helpful. Would love to see this grow bigger and bigger in the future.

The BLMC has provided us a great forum for talking to students and professionals who may already be aware of our products (several have come up to me and said they already own one of our widgets but had no idea we were represented in the USA) and many who were new to it. The educational component of the series is fantastic from all I’m hearing from them, but for me, the key ingredient is to be able to have some one on one time with people who I’d otherwise have to travel to distant cities to talk to. I’m very impressed with the organization and planning that goes into this event as well. Kudos to the Live Design team.

Back again for another great BLMC in NYC. I seem to remember this show being in May, but I could swear it has been March outside this year. As ever, the designers are inspirational, and seeing old friends while making new ones remains a great part of this event. David, Marian, Ellen, and the entire Live Design staff have done a great job of pulling the whole thing together. I think what I like most about this event is what we LEARN from our customers rather than what we show them while we are here. Designers and students say the darndest things—it’s like they actually use our products! And we’re honored every time that they do.
